Co-operative Education Program
Since 1999, Electric Dreams Video has actively participated in the Co-operative Education Program offered by several local high schools. Working for a semester at EDV, students gain valuable on-the-job experience and insight into the way a video and multimedia company is operated.Student responsibilities include transferring film to video, scanning photographs and assembling photo album videos, labelling tapes, maintaining the tape database, duplicating tapes and DVDs, invoicing jobs, answering phones and dealing with customers. Additionally, several oppourtunities may be presented for the student to assist with location shooting and various in-house production duties.
Many of the Co-op students who have been placed at Electric Dreams have gone on to work for the company, actually getting paid to do something they enjoy. In fact, most if not all of the present employees were co-op students at one point.
